Ioanna is a graduate of the Niki Kontaxaki Higher Professional School of Dance and worked as a classical and contemporary dance teacher for seven years.
During her studies and through her experience as a dancer, she began exploring ways to develop a body capable of withstanding the demands of intensive dance training while minimizing the risk of injury.
She later recognized the same need while teaching classical dance. Strengthening dancers beyond ballet class was essential for injury prevention.
This led her to discover Pilates and begin practicing the method herself. Experiencing its effectiveness and positive impact firsthand, she decided to pursue professional training and successfully completed the BASI Pilates Teacher Training Program.
She has taught BASI Pilates to dancers, helping them improve their technique, build strength and enhance their overall physical condition. Since then, she has dedicated herself exclusively to teaching Pilates.
Committed to continuous learning and professional development, Ioanna continues to expand her knowledge through personal practice and specialized seminars, including Injuries and Pathologies.
She teaches both group and private sessions.
Ioanna has also studied Psychology at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens.
